2017 Barossa Deutsche Cabernet
Using only fruit from a friend’s old vines, the 2017 Vintage was matured for 2 years in a blend of French and American oak. Black Cherries are apparent on the nose, backed-up on the palate by cassis and spice-laden chocolate. The Barossa Deutsche Cabernet is full-bodied, but elegant and smooth by design.
Colour: Very deep garnet red
Aroma: Black cherries
Taste: Cassis, spice-laden chocolate and fine grainy tannins
Food: Best served decanted and rested for 2-3 hours. Try with spiced lamb.
Cellaring: This wine is drinking well now, but careful cellaring will be rewarded
