Our Barossa

Inspiration

Steinborner & Reynolds are Barossa vignerons, winemakers and family. We are located in the renowned sub-region of Vine Vale and grow high quality grapes, produce single vineyard, limited release wines and tell stories of our favourite place - The Barossa Valley.

We love the Barossa and are inspired by its beautiful landscape, the German and British heritage that continues to influence the culture of the region, and by the people who hail from across the globe and whose influence is integral to our Barossa today.

We live in a world that is more connected than ever before and it is our hope that our wines will bring the flavours of the Barossa to family, friends and discerning food and wine lovers worldwide.

Our Pleasure

Vineyards & Winemaking

Our story starts amongst the vines. The oldest Steinborner & Reynolds Family Vineyards’ vines were planted in 1912, on the ancient sand-over-clay soil profile of Vine Vale. We also proudly tend varietals that include Shiraz, Viognier, Marsanne, Durif, Semillon and Cabernet.

Our fruit is highly sought after, and small parcels are supplied to select neighbouring wineries.

However, our pleasure and passion is to craft our own single vineyard, limited release and highly regarded wines from the fruit we have tended during the year.

Our Family

A Barossa Journey

The Steinborner & Reynolds families met in Tokyo, Japan in the early 1990s. At the time, Tokyo was an opportunity a long way away from most places, quite good fun and a fabulous place to work, drink, eat, and soak up some language and culture while making connections with people from across the globe.

The Steinborner family has lived, farmed, and worked around the Barossa for many generations since their arrival from Prussia in the mid 1800s. Rebecca and her father, Michael, are fourth and fifth generation Barossa Deutsche. The Reynolds family are Liverpudlian and Irish farmers. In 2003, the opportunity to learn the craft of growing grapes and making wines out on the ancient floodplain of Vine Vale led to us to our first vintage of Steinborner & Reynolds Family Vineyards.

Thank you for visiting Steinborner & Reynolds.

We trust you will enjoy our wines.
